Whiskey Tasting A Hit!

For those who made it to our first Slow Foods Whiskey tasting on March 21, 2008, Thank you!!!! What a fun, educational and tasty event!


Thank you again to the informative Uless Reeder from Major Brands for being our on-site whiskey expert for the evening!

Here were the different whiskies that were sampled along with the fabulous food prepared by Chef Craig Cyr at The Wine Cellar & Bistro.

Smoked Troutdale trout with ginger aoili, fried capers and cucumbers

Roasted Duck Uprise Crostinis with caramelized apples, pinenuts, raisins and shallots

Goatsbeard Wallon, Cypress Grove Humboldt Fog, Rogue River Blue, French Brie

Wild Mushroom & Brussel Sprout Ragout with morels, porcinis and parsnips

Curry Braised Lamb Shank Strudel with pepper mango salsa

Grilled Shrimp and butter poached mussel skewers with grapefruit, bourbon cream
